After releasing re-recordings of several of her other songs, she releases the new version "One More Night" today! Prior to this, you couldn't buy "One More Night" at any of the digital stores. The digital EP includes these versions. 01. Radio Edit (3:40) 02. Extended (6:30) 03. Show Mix (3:55) iTunes, Amazon, and Juno have it for sale. WAVs are available at Juno. Watch the video for the new version:
I was a huge fan of this when it originally came out. In addition to the downtempo original version from her debut album, I loved the Berman Brothers single version which had that riff (also heard in the Hani mixes) and the Junior Vasquez mixes which came out the following year with that "Together Again" esque part during the first break. It's a pity those versions were never given a digital release. Part of the main version appeared on his Junior Vasquez Live Vol. 2 compilation along with a number of his other Tunnel and Arena era remixes of Deborah Cox, Dolly Parton, Cher, etc. These new versions are really well-done. All three versions, especially the Extended one, beautifully incorporate some re-created elements from the Hani versions, including that main riff. Amber's new vocals are very good. She sounds almost 100% the same as she did on the original 1997 one! It's amazing.
